Job description

SUMMARY: Responsible for the overall accounting operation, including financial reporting and budgeting. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Overall operation of accounting, including financial reports and budget. - Oversight, management, and evaluation of accounting staff (including payroll administrator). Assure that accounting personnel are properly trained, motivated, and directed to fulfill their responsibilities. - Review all journal entries for financial statements - Analysis of financial statements and preparation of special reports - Review accounts payables and receivables for accuracy - Evaluate credit applications and oversee collection efforts. - Maintain insurance records (property, casualty, fleet, workers comp, etc.) and provide information to obtain insurance quotes. - Prepare government and regulatory tax filings. - Direct company’s annual audit. - Comply with company policies and procedures. - Additional duties as assigned by management.
