Job description
Leidos is seeking a motivated, detailed-oriented problem-solver to join our modeling and simulation team as an Aerospace Modeling and Simulation Engineer in Dayton, OH. You will play a valuable part in developing and testing models of aerospace systems, to include air-launched weapons; ballistic missile systems; avionics; hypersonic vehicles; and guidance, navigation, and controls across a wide range of projects and programs. Primary Responsibilities: Develop, integrate, and test models of aerospace systems based on provided information, research, and engineering principles. Document model performance against requirements. Document algorithm design. Work collaboratively with an engineering team comprised of internal and external team members. Interact with external stakeholders to define requirements and perform model demonstrations. Basic Qualifications: Candidate must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent degree from an ABET-accredited university Candidate must have 4 or more years of experience Experience with 3DOF/6DOF flight models: Experience in MATLAB/Simulink: Experience with system level requirements: Detailed underst...
