Site Safety & Health Officer

APTIM is seeking a qualified Site Safety and Health Officer (SSHO) with DOD (Department of Defense) experience, Work experience shall include managing and/or implementing safety and health programs on projects related to radiological contamination, hazardous waste cleanup, and/or hazardous facility demolition sites. The candidate will be responsible for implementing, and administering health, safety & environmental protection programs affecting occupational health, employee and public safety, incident investigation and loss control, responsible environmental practices and equipment & property protection. Responsibilities: Qualifications/Competencies/Experience: - Communicates and coordinates activities with the Project Manager and Site Manager but reports to the Project Safety and Health Manager (SHM) - Manages the Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) program and safety assessment documents that will support all work activities performed on a complex decommissioning and demolition (D&D), remediation, and radiological project. - Specify proper personal protective equipment (PPE) and resources necessary to ensure health and safety workers - Observe work in progress to verify safe...
