USNH Employees should apply within Workday through the Jobs Hub app The UNH Community Sailing Centre seeks one FJ/420 Instructor and four Bug/RS Tera/Opti instructors. The UNH Community Sailing Centre is located at the UNH Sailing Centre in Barrington, NH. Classes are structured in separate one-week sessions. The UNH Community Sailing Centre’s well-designed curriculum guides instructors while offering opportunities for innovation in instruction. Duties/Responsibilities: Safety & Supervision (60%): Supervise and mentor youth sailors, ensuring a safe and supportive learning environment. Conduct daily safety briefings and debriefs to enhance participant learning and reinforce key concepts. Operate boats safely for instruction, supervision, and emergency response. Set a positive example through professional conduct, respectful language, and adherence to the Corinthian spirit of sailing. Instruction & Lesson Delivery (25%): Provide instruction in one-design dinghy sailing, focusing on skill development, safety, and sportsmanship.
