Job description

OVERVIEW : This position will require a combination of office and field work. Applicants should have a minimum of 2-5 years professional experience in the field of hydrographic surveying and a minimum of 3 years’ experience collecting and processing multi-beam and side-scan surveys. The successful candidate will oversee field data collection, data processing, analysis, report production, equipment maintenance and other duties as assigned. Candidate must be a good communicator and be able to work well in a team environment and have the ability to travel. DURING YOUR WORK DAY, YOU WILL: - Acquire data in various marine environments using modern techniques and survey vessel operation using multibeam, singlebeam, sidescan, magnetometer, and sub-bottom. - Plan and budget survey projects. - Communicate with clients; report on projects. - Support data processing, analysis, reporting, and proposal writing. - Teach, train, manage and develop staff. - Performs safe small vessel operations; responsible for basic boat maintenance - Responsible for towing and backing trailers. - Requires periodic travel, both in and out of state, and often irregular schedules including working during weekends a...
