Art Therapist – Help Heal Through Creativity at Brook Lane Join a powerhouse therapeutic team at Brook Lane—Western Maryland’s largest non-profit mental health system. As an Art Therapist, your creative approach will support healing across two pivotal programs: the acute Inpatient unit (intensive, 24-hour care) and the Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) (structured day treatment allowing patients to return home). What Makes This Role Special?: Inpatient Environment: - Critical, life-saving work: Provide art therapy in a setting designed for urgent stabilization—patients may include individuals experiencing crisis-level symptoms, suicidal or impulsive behaviors, or needing emergency interventions. - Intensive collaboration: Work within a multi-disciplinary team offering round-the-clock care in age-appropriate units for children, adolescents, and adults. - Healing through structure: Support recovery through individualized treatment planning, group and family sessions, education, and emotional skill-building—art therapy can be a vital bridge.
