Onsite in Irvine, CA The Operations Technician 2 (O) is responsible for providing exceptional 24x7 data center support for internal and external customers. Primary responsibilities include installations, troubleshooting, monitoring, and documentation. Primary Responsibilities: - Work directly with colocation customers to isolate and troubleshoot issues as necessary. - Responsible for the installation and troubleshooting of all copper and fiber cross connects and run bundles of cables throughout a data center. - Layer 1 cable testing, including light testing, continuity – Transmit/Receive, DB Loss Level, head-to-head testing. Terminate and test cabling using various connectors (LC/SC, RJ45). - Thoroughly document all work within a ticket system in support of customer requests and execution of installation tasks. - Manage and prepare incoming and outgoing customer tape backups/rotations and offsite transfers. - Assume monitoring role for all critical systems utilizing Building Monitoring System.
