Textile Designer and Technologist The Opportunity: Apply materials science and engineering principles to develop, process, and test materials to create solutions that meet specific technical and performance criteria, utilizing a systems engineering approach and engineering tools, including DE and physical to optimize material selection and improve manufacturing processes. Apply specific functional knowledge and general industry knowledge. Develop or contribute to solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity. Work independently with some guidance and may review or guide activities of junior employees. You Have: - 3+ years of experience with pattern making, grading, and construction across a variety of product types, such as apparel, sof t goods, and individual equipment - Experience implementing design for manufacturability practices in direct collaboration with textile manufacturers and cut-and-sew facilities - Experience translating client requirements to textile products - Knowledge of factory equipment, garment cutting, sewing, and Quality Assurance ( QA ) and quality control ( QC ) processes - Knowledge of MS Office and Adobe Cloud Illustrator or Photosho...
