Job description

PRIMARY FUNCTION: Primarily responsible for filling in/performing all jobs in assigned area/department in absence of regular worker. Trains new and current associates on jobs in area as needed. Performs all work in compliance with company policies, NCC Animal Welfare Guidelines and local, state and federal policies, laws and regulations. RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS: - Assist in the transfer, minor repair, and servicing of machines and related equipment utilized in the transfer of poultry before or after loading - Aid in spotting for live haul trucks at farm to ensure safe practices and mitigation of damage - Operate mechanical loading equipment in compliance with safety guidelines to avoid damage to grower’s housing and equipment; notify appropriate personnel in event of damage immediately once discovered - Evaluate loading equipment and vehicles while operating and notify appropriate person of mechanical defects or needed repairs - Identify opportunities for improvement, develop improvement, present to appropriate personnel, and lead or participate in the implementation of improvement - Wear personal protective equipment in all areas where required - Perform additional relevant dut...
