Bargaining Unit: UUP Job Summary: The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University is seeking a full-time Social Worker 3, Abortion Access Program. The Social Worker will provide supportive services for the abortion patients within the New York State Access Abortion Program. The incumbent will need to function collaboratively with the patients and the healthcare teams such as Obstetricians, Gynecologists, Midwives etc. Additional responsibility includes, managing patient termination process, all pregnancies from pre and post support, along with social and emotional support.
