About the role Mater Private Hospital Townsville is inviting expressions of interest from experienced internal Registered Nurse/Midwives who are ready to take the next step in their careers by moving into a Midwifery & Nursing Unit Manager role. This position is a maternity leave cover opportunity, with the successful applicant offered a maximum-term contract commencing 21st September 2026 through to June 2027 . The role offers full-time hours and will be based in our maternity unit at Pimlico. As the Midwifery Nursing Unit Manager, you will provide operational/clinical management and leadership to this Maternity department and provide a professional line management responsibility to nurses/midwives in the organisation. As the leader of this team, you will provide exceptional nursing management and be responsible for the clinical, resource management and education accountabilities of nursing within our Maternity Unit.
