Department: Laundry Services: Shift/schedule: Full Time (40 hrs/wk): GENERAL SUMMARY: Works under the supervision of the Manager of Laundry Services. The Linen Tech's main job function is the collecting, transporting, and processing of soiled healthcare linen; in the processing and distributing of clean healthcare linen; by following organization and department policies and procedures; in order to provide appropriate, timely, and cost effective linen service to the department’s customers. Operates laundry machinery such as, tumblers, ironers, and folders in the processing of linen; transports linen by non-motorized carts and slings; performs customer service by receiving and processing linen orders; delivers clean linen and picks up soiled linen throughout all departments. Perform other duties as assigned.
