PURPOSE: The Production Supervisor is responsible for the areas of planning, organizing, staffing, leading, and controlling the Production Department in support of the Production Department/Indianapolis Factory Mission: ESSENTIAL DUTIES Safety: - Facilitate the operation of all equipment in the Production Department to be conducive to a safe and accident-free work environment. Ensure that all safety procedures or guidelines are followed on a consistent basis. - Ensure the recognition of all MSDS related to materials used in the Production Department. - Ensure knowledge and execution of all evacuation and emergency procedures relevant to the Production Department. Daily Operations: - Ensure all orders scheduled to assigned work centers are completed daily. - Key in data for productivity/quality tracking. - Lead meetings to addressed corrective actions, quality issues, etc. - Prepare reports regarding Production Department performance in terms of quality, on-time delivery, productivity and volume and accuracy for use in the process of continuous improvement. - Develop and implement process improvements related to the Production Department operations. - Facilitate effective communicat...
