Responsible for assisting the hemodialysis nurse by performing delegated tasks, including accessing AV fistula or graft, the initiation, monitoring and termination of hemodialysis treatments for the hemodialysis patient in the acute/chronic hemodialysis unit, under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse. Responsible for the mixing and performing quality control checks of the bicarbonate loop system, dialysis machines and portable RO's as per unit policy.
