Job Title: Supervisor, Logistics Job Summary: The Logistics Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and supporting the Logistics Department and collaborating with all other departments to ensure outsourced loads are efficiently assigned and delivered promptly, maintaining a high standard of professionalism and meeting customer expectations. Responsibility: - Supervise, mentor, and support logistics staff to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to procedures. - Forge relationships with carriers and build the existing carrier base. - Establish rate schedules and maintain and monitor compliance items. - Negotiate carrier rates to ensure profitability. - Manage all specialized freight movements (oversize, airfreight, ocean) including coordination of special permits and customs clearances. - Analyze logistics processes and identify opportunities for improvement to increase efficiency and reduce costs. - Monitor and manage attendance, time-off schedules to ensure adherence to company policies. - Prepare and deliver performance reviews.
