Essential Job Functions Payroll Operations: - Oversee end-to-end processing of U.S. and Canada payroll (bi-weekly, semi-monthly, or weekly cycles) - Ensure accuracy of wages, deductions, bonuses, commissions, and other pay elements - Manage payroll calendars and ensure timely processing and funding Compliance & Governance: - Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and tax regulations - Oversee payroll tax filings, reporting, and reconciliations - Maintain SOX/internal controls and audit readiness (if applicable) - Stay current on legislative changes impacting payroll Team Leadership: - Lead, develop, and manage payroll team members - Establish clear roles, expectations, and performance standards - Provide coaching and support to ensure a high-performing team Systems & Process Improvement: - Manage payroll systems (e.g., UKG, ADP, Workday, etc.) - Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities - Ensure data integrity between HRIS, timekeeping, and payroll systems Cross-Functional Partnership: - Partner with HR on employee changes, benefits deductions, and compensation updates - Collaborate with Finance/Accounting on payroll reconciliat...
