Overview Ft. Dix Cable Splicer (2026-24851-F): Bowhead seeks Ft. Dix Cable Splicer Bowhead seeks an experienced Cable Splicer to support Base Telecommunications System operations and maintenance at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, NJ. The Cable Splicer will perform outside plant telecommunications maintenance and cable splicing activities across the Ft. Dix installation, including support to the Range and Lakehurst areas of responsibility. This position supports the maintenance of extensive aerial telecommunications infrastructure and assists with cable locating and dig permit coordination to ensure safe excavation and construction activities across the installation. Responsibilities: Essential functions will include: - Perform copper and fiber optic cable splicing supporting the Base Telecommunications System. - Complete lineman duties associated with outside plant telecommunications infrastructure. - Perform maintenance and repair of aerial telecommunications cable infrastructure. - Support outside plant telecommunications maintenance activities in accordance with operations and maintenance and work order procedures. - Maintain telecommunications infrastructure installed on dedi...
