QUALIFICATIONS: Education: College or comparable work experience SKILLS: - DME application and removal. Responsible for ordering and restocking DME items as well as clinical supplies. Orders and fits custom orthotics, per provider’s orders. - Fit and apply splints and braces (DME) as requested by provider. - Measure, order and fit custom osteoarthritis braces. - Instruct patients regarding brace care and the use of orthopedic appliances. - Clean and stock the cast room and cast cart ordering supplies as needed. - Clean and stock the DME room keeping an accurate inventory of all products and appliances – ordering when necessary to keep inventory at constant levels in both offices. - Document all activity in patient’s chart and bill accordingly. - Order and maintain all over-the-counter supplies. - Maintain all crash carts for 2nd and 3rd floor along with the defibulator machine and oxygen. - Meet with clinical supply representatives periodically to ensure best vendor pricing. - Answer patient calls, emails or messages left by patients regarding care or appliances. - DME authorizations. - Responsible for scanning and attaching any documents or forms related to DME order. - Performs r...
