The Estimator generates estimates and new business opportunities within assigned markets Essential Functions: - Generates and develops quotes - Analyzes blueprints, specifications, proposals and other documentation to prepare quotes/estimates - Computes various cost factors - Prepares budgets and schedules for work - Ensures all estimates meet or exceed company and customer’s expectations, as well as regulatory requirements - Develops beneficial business relationships - Develops good working relationships with vendors, subcontractors, clients and INDOT personnel - Develops a network and contacts within the community - Performs day-to-day estimating tasks - Sets up jobs in job costing - Generates purchase orders and subcontractor agreements - Reviews billings, prepares change orders and job cost reports - Communicates with internal/external customers - Answers inquiries via phone, email or in-person - Provides highest levels of customer service - Makes presentations to large and small groups - Translates technical information into easily understood language - Promotes and maintains safe work environment - Exhibits safe work behaviors - Wea...
