Join our Financial Reporting team as a Senior Accountant, in our Home Office in Calgary, AB! We are seeking a highly capable Senior Accountant who can effectively navigate complex accounting matters and deliver high-quality, detail-oriented work. This role supports the monthly, quarterly and annual close processes for the consolidated entity and its subsidiaries, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting. What You'll Do: - Perform month-end and period-end close procedures, including preparation and review of complex journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting working papers to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. - Analyze balance sheet and income statement accounts, investigating variances between the general ledger, subledgers, and operational systems to ensure data accuracy and completeness. - Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting schedules and supporting documentation in accordance with accounting standards and internal policies. - Research and make recommendations relating to technical accounting matters. - Consolidate subsidiary balance sheet accounts and maintain supporting leadsheets across entities to support accurate fin...
