Title: On-Air Student Newscaster Employee Classification: Student Help Regular Division Name: Academic Affairs Department: Radio Station WGLT Job Summary: The On-Air Student Newscaster will prepare, record, and properly distribute newscasts that air on WGLT or WCBU. This position works closely with the WGLT and WCBU news director or their designees to make good story decisions during newscast preparation. The position will be regularly evaluated ("airchecked") to ensure quality control. Additional Information: Student employees are eligible to participate in the University’s 403(b) Plan. More information can be found here . Pay Rate: $16/hour Required Qualifications: Requires enrollment in or completion of COM 162/Intro to Radio, CTK 240, or similar experience. Preferred Qualifications: Adobe Audition experience (or comparable software) preferred. Work Hours: 3 hours per week. Schedule varies.
