Staff Accountant – Construction / Trades (HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, GC) We are a private equity–backed construction services company operating across HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, and General Contracting, seeking a seasoned Staff Accountant to support our growing finance team. This role is hands-on and fast-paced, ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working under strict monthly deadlines. Key Responsibilities: · Full-cycle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable · Payroll processing and related reconciliations · Prepare and post journal entries · Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations · Assist with month-end close and financial reporting · Prepare ad hoc financial reports and analysis as requested · Support audits and comply with internal controls and PE reporting requirements · Collaborate with operations and management to resolve discrepancies Required Qualifications: · 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in construction, trades, or service-based businesses · Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks Desktop (required) · Solid understanding of GAAP fundamentals · Experience with payroll, AP, AR, and general ledger accounting · Prove...
