Description The purpose of this position is to oversee the packaging and labeling of leafy greens products at the lowest possible cost consistent with good manufacturing practices. This position is also responsible for coordinating shifts, establishing work schedules, and monitoring employee performance to meet production goals. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Accomplish safety, throughput, and quality goals by communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results. - Coach, develop, and mentor teammates. Plan, assign, and direct work assignments, appraise performance, and resolve employee teammate issues and problems appropriately. - Provide leadership and motivation through personal example. Collaborate with other departments to promote positive work relationships. - Observe employee work quality, monitor equipment and indicators to ensure that finished products conform to internal and/or customer specifications. - Encourages suggestions from employees that improve production, quality, safety and/or control costs of production. - Conducts employee safety training, coordinates on-the-job training for newly hired or transferred employees, and holds monthly...
