About the unit This is a 35 bed Emergency Center and Level II Trauma Center. Our Emergency Center services a diverse patient population from both Oakland and Wayne County. Our physical plant includes a 3 bed trauma room, fast track area (Express Care), 2 psychiatric rooms, 2 isolation rooms and an RN Greeter location that initiates a split flow type of patient rooming process. The Emergency Center is staffed by ER Physicians, Residents, Registered Nurses, Emergency Technicians, Unit Secretaries, and Emergency Service Associates.
