Job description

Position Summary The Assistant Operator is relied upon for providing onsite support services for the Vacuum Truck Services Division which performs a very diverse range of activities including but not limited to: hydro excavating, confined space entry, spill cleanup, line flushing, and power washing, and assisting with the loading and hauling of various fluids / material. The Assistant Operator will assist with these labour based tasks with a focus on safety, professionalism and teamwork. Specific Duties and Responsibilities: Assist the Operator with the safe operation of the various units Assist the Operator with the set up and control hoses attached to the pumps to ensure the safe and effective pumping of water Install temporary equipment (including the installation of Victaulic pipe, chemical house, mixing various chemicals) Participate in job site preparation, including the rigging in/out of equipment Spot the safe positioning of equipment Ensure all equipment is cleaned and stored Execute general labor duties on job sites, which include but not limited to truck cleaning, equipment packing, preparation for demobilization, and debris removal from job sites Confined space entry to...
