Lead Software Engineer (Java) – Vienna Are you a Java developer who is also an AI enthusiast — and ready to lead? Do you enjoy using AI tools to rethink how software is built and help others do the same? We’re looking for a Lead Java Engineer to join our R&D team in Vienna (this is a firm requirement) and help build a new cloud product for continuous testing and intelligent automation. About the product: You’ll work on an enterprise integration testing platform for SAP Integration Suite . Connects to SAP CPI and records integration flows (iFlows) Compares outputs against baselines → acts as a CI/CD quality gate Includes record & replay, regression testing, test suites, multi-protocol support, and more What you’ll do: Lead development of a greenfield cloud product Own the full development lifecycle (design → delivery) Drive architecture and technical decisions: Promote and use AI-powered development tools (Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor) Ensure code quality, testing, and best practices Mentor engineers and act as a technical leader AI-first mindset (must-have): We actively use AI across development, refactoring, testing, and CI/CD.
