POSITION SUMMARY: The Field Service Engineer is responsible for installation, preventive maintenance, repair, and all other instrument services for MSD equipment in their assigned region. Extensive travel is to be expected, both within their territory and elsewhere as required. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Perform Installation, Operational and Performance Qualification (IQOQPQ) of MSD instruments at customer sites. - Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on MSD instruments in the field. - Troubleshoot issues and remotely assist customers via phone and email. Perform unscheduled maintenance if necessary. - Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for services rendered. - Specific duties may vary depending upon departmental requirements. EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: - Associate’s degree in an engineering discipline. - Minimum 3 years of experience in field service. - Experience using basic hand tools and inspection equipment required. - A background in the life science drug discovery marketplace is a plus.
