Pickle room/VFS operator- 1st Shift: Monday-Friday (6:00am – 2:30pm): POSITION SUMMARY: The Annealing Furnace Operator is responsible for following standard operating procedures to ensure the safe operation of two annealing furnaces including ensuring proper furnace load construction and choosing the proper furnace computer program. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Operates the VFS & 403 computer controlled annealing furnaces. Determines the best configuration for furnace loads considering significant variations of product size, shape, and weight in order to protect the product and the furnace from damage. Enters data into the annealing furnace database. Processes quality control samples as required. Processes intermediate and finished materials through chemical cleaning tanks in the Pickle Room. Enters material movements into SAP, completes all associated quality control paperwork and lot traceability paperwork to assure product is clearly tested and identified.
