Purpose: The Senior Mortgage Loan Specialist must have a thorough knowledge of all aspects of real estate lending and servicing. The position requires advanced knowledge of income and secondary market standards and the ability to perform with a high level of accuracy. The senior level position is proficient in real estate subject matters and can assist Associate MLS and MLS with complex lending scenarios and decisions. Duties: - Receive and assist in the completion of real estate loan applications, while serving as the primary point of contact for applicants during the origination process via phone, digital delivery, email, and chat. - Independently assess and underwrite real estate loan applications including but not limited to applicant(s) credit worthiness, ability to repay, collateral valuation, and organizational risk with the ability/authority to extend credit or deny for real estate loan products within assigned tiered approval lending limits.
