We are looking for motivated students with a strong interest in the mining industry. Our internship program is 10 weeks long, in which you will receive important industry training and get involved in meaningful real-world projects like planning a program, designing a process, or implementing technology. The culmination of your program will include an opportunity to present your work to management. Position: SXEW Intern will be assisting the L-SXEW Department Duties: - Anode condition and tracking database - Cost/Benefit Analysis and Feasibility Study on Replacing Starter Sheets w/ Permanent Cathode Blanks - Cost/Benefit Analysis and Feasibility Study on Different Contact Bus Bars - Cost/Benefit Analysis and Feasibility Study of Replacing Lead Anodes w/ Alternative Anodes - Evaluate assigned field problems (real or theoretical) and report back as required. - Meet everyday safety goals. - Various other projects as assigned. Qualifications: Education Requirements: - Candidate must be enrolled in an accredited school or university and currently pursuing a degree in, Chemical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Mining Technology, Ore Control, or other related degrees.
