Job description

Transports patients, supplies, equipment, medication, medical charts, specimens, blood products, flowers, name plates, paper (i.e., OR schedules, requisitions, etc.) in a timely manner Requirements: Collective bargaining unit: SEIU Local 144-MSB-NonRN - Transport patients safely to/from all patient units & designated treatment areas in a timely manner and in accordance with prescribed procedures - Perform or assist with the movement of patients; assist with transport/transfer of patients from chair/bed, bed/stretcher, etc. - Performance of specific environmental and support functions - Maintenance of required supplies and equipment; ensure equipment used for transport is safe, clean, and easily accessible - Practice effective communication and collaboration with other health care members - Performs other related duties as assigned. - High School Diploma or Equivalency required - Current or previous experience as a transporter preferred - Ability to lift and move heavy objects and/or patients with or without reasonable accommodation - Ability to be flexible and self-directed - Effective interpersonal skillsl Compensation Statement: The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides salar...
