Description This is a lecturer position supporting the teaching mission of the department of Chemistry in the College of Science. This position will serve as coordinator for the Organic Chemistry laboratory sequence, CH 2270 and CH 2280. The instructor will also teach other lower enrollment organic laboratories including CH 2020 (Survey of Organic Chemistry Laboratory). The ideal person for this role will work collaboratively with the Director of Undergraduate Teaching Labs and the General Chemistry Laboratory Coordinator to ensure operational continuity across all of the Department’s teaching lab offerings. - Oversee weekly lab operations. - Coordinate with and train TAs to conduct weekly experiments. - Oversee course grading and manage student interactions. - Work closely with laboratory stockroom staff to ensure safe and functional weekly lab operations. - Work with Director of Undergraduate Teaching Labs and General Chemistry Laboratory Coordinator to ensure operational continuity and alignment across lab sections. - Work with Organic Teaching Coordinator to ensure adequate overlap of lab activities with lecture coverage. - Devise and revise laboratory experiments (in collabora...
