Responsibilities & Qualifications The Apple & Windows Operating System Lead is responsible for the administration, maintenance, and optimization of enterprise Windows Server and Apple (Mac) environments supporting the NRC High Performance Computing System (HPCS). This role ensures system reliability, security compliance, and operational efficiency across hybrid infrastructure environments. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience: - 8+ years of experience in Windows Server administration - Experience supporting Apple/Mac enterprise environments Strong knowledge of: - Active Directory, Group Policy - Windows Server (2016/2019/2022) - Endpoint management tools - Experience with cloud environments (e.g., AWS GovCloud, Azure) - Familiarity with FISMA, NIST security controls, and federal IT compliance frameworks - Strong troubleshooting and system optimization skills Education: - Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience) Clearance: Must be able to obtain and maintain an NRC security clearance (Public Trust or higher).
