Lead Manufacturing Engineer, Surface Enhancement

Job Description Summary The Lead Manufacturing Engineer role will provide surface enhancement process support related to Shot Peening within Aerospace Supply Chain internal and external sites for the Integrated Manufacturing Excellence team. The primary responsibility will be to work with internal and external manufacturing shops to support a robust production process meeting quality, delivery and cost metrics. Additional activities may include supplier development, process development, technical training, costing methods and design board integration. Travel up to 25% or as needed Job Description: Roles and Responsibilities: - Process Capability and Development: The role involves leveraging expertise in advanced techniques to improve hardware producibility and process development during production phase. Primary focus: on Shot Peening processes. Secondary focus: on other non-conventional manufacturing processes. - Production: Working with production shops to ensure process development and planning to enable full-rate production meeting quality standards, process requirements and delivery timelines.
