Job Summary: Develops, implements, and leads health, safety, environmental, and emergency preparedness programs for a facility. Key Responsibilities: Develops and implements pertinent training; develops, implements, and leads health, safety, environmental, and emergency preparedness programs; maintains health, safety, environmental, and emergency preparedness program. Understands and implements relevant legal, regulatory, and corporate requirements as defined by agencies (such as, OSHA, EPA, state regulations, corporate requirements, DOC, Department of Homeland Security). Co-chairs facility Safety, Health and Wellness Committees; serves as a primary contact for facility health and wellness issues; communicates health and wellness information with facility site management. Serves as facility Emergency Coordinator; leads facility emergency preparedness for Emergency Response Medical Teams. Represents facility on corporate occupational, health, safety, and environmental committees, as supervisor warrants time.
