SUMMARY: Mortenson is currently seeking a Surveyor I that will be responsible for performing survey and mapping of construction measurements and advise team members during all stages of the construction project through direct surveys and layout support. RESPONSIBILITIES: - Set up and operate Trimble GPS equipment, including base station, SCS 900 software, GCS 900, and laser level - Care for, clean, and use surveying tools and equipment - Perform basic surveying computations and plan reading - Perform survey note taking - Survey existing conditions of proposed work sites - Guide new construction work through layout - Verify locations of structures - Build and maintain effective relationships with individuals from diverse backgrounds and organizational levels - Perform all other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS: *Lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling over 50 lbs will be done with assistance of another team member or equipment. - Minimum one year of related construction experience - CTS level 1 or equivalent preferred - Current driver’s license - Ability to operate equipment including but not limited to Base Station, SCS 900, GCS 900, and laser level - Detail orientation - Ability t...
