Responsibilities We have an immediate opening for a Senior Staff Accountant to join our Corporate Finance team, based in the Downtown Houston office. As a key player in the team’s operations, this individual should be conscientious about their role and possess a strong “can-do” customer service attitude. The Senior Staff Accountant will have the following responsibilities: ** This role is a hybrid position. - Tax Compliance o Review US tax returns and related reports to ensure compliance with all federal, state, local tax statues, R&D tax study and regulations by working with external tax consultants to properly interpret tax laws and regulationso Oversee international tax and compliance procedures, and ensure that appropriate internal controls are in place and documented for tax compliance for the following jurisdictions: Canada, Latin America, United Kingdom, Australia and New Zealando Oversees transfer pricing process and for international subsidiaries o Reviews accounting records ensuring tax transactions are recorded accurately in financial systemso Research and implementation of tax processes, and makes appropriate recommendations from a tax perspectiveo Manages tax disputes...
