Amentum has an immediate opening for a Shipboard Electrician/Interior Communications (IC) Technician to support our Mid-Atlantic Regional Maintenance Center (MARMC) customer in Norfolk, VA. Essential Responsibilities: Provide technical assistance, assessments, inspection, troubleshooting, corrective actions, adjustments/repairs, and grooms on shipboard electrical and interior communication systems Observe and/or conduct cold and hot checks of equipment, note condition and parameters for any out-of-specification readings or settings Observe the operation of the equipment by ship's force to witness the full range of performance Use appropriate measuring/test equipment to obtain data for evaluation Provide written visit debrief and reports using MS Office applications and specialized reporting systems such as Fleet Technical Support (FTS) Attend conferences and meetings as a waterfront technical representative of MARMC Code 262 Provide On-The-Job Training to ship's force during shipboard evolutions, assessments, and technical assist events Interpret drawings, sketches, wiring diagrams and control schematics.
