Job DetailsJob Location: Omaha, NE 68107Education Level: High School EquivalencyJob Category: LabOne part-time (0.50 FTE) position | Monday - Friday 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm | Livestock Exchange Campus (30th & L) Job Duties: The Laboratory Technician works to provide timely and accurate onsite laboratory services; they collect specimens from patients, perform in-house testing, prepare specimens for outside testing, and record lab results. The Lab Tech is also responsible for maintaining laboratory equipment, supplies, records, and procedures in accordance with OSHA, CLIA, OneWorld Community Health Center’s Performance Improvement Plans (PIP), and other applicable standards. Correctly identifies the patient per written protocol and collects appropriate specimens. Labels specimens accurately and completely, while maintaining the integrity of the specimen in relation to the test being performed. Performs all in-house testing, prepares specimens/records for outside lab procedures, and records lab results in an accurate and timely manner.
