Employment Type: Salaried Work Arrangement: Onsite Employment Status: Full Time Vacancy Type: Replacement Position Summary: Reporting to the Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Manager, the EHS Coordinator responsible for supporting the Health, Safety and Environmental, programs for Ventura Foods Toronto. In the absence of the EHS Coordinator the EHS Manager will cover their designated post. Major Duties and Responsibilities: - Responsible for the development and promotion of an EHS culture. - Develop and implement safety initiatives, controls, and procedures (SOP’s) to address safety risks in the workplace. - Participate in incident investigations, prepare reports and follow-up, identify root cause and ensure that appropriate control measures are implemented. - Develop or launch various training programs. - Contribute to the development and implementation of EHS programs. - Manage EHS databases such as; SDS (3E), Lockout (Brady360), Ergonomics (Safety In Motion), Contractor Management (ISN ). - Manage contractor safety program and supporting documentation for all safety projects. - Conducts EHS orientation and trains new hires in areas such as WHIMS, LOTO, Safety Awareness, et...
