Classification Title: Maintenance Generalist I Classification Minimum Requirements: A high school diploma (or equivalent) and zero (0) to two (2) years of experience in the field or in a related area. Job Description: Assists and performs semi-skill and unskilled maintenance and repairs in accordance with industry/trade practices. Provides daily maintenance support to building users through responses to calls for service, scheduled preventative maintenance inspections and similar service. Performs tasks not limited to minor plumbing, electrical, HVAC repairs, changing filters, light bulbs, light carpentry tasks to include replacing ceiling tiles, patching and painting, flooring materials such as VCT, plank, and carpet tiles, stair treads, minor decorative maintenance and other tasks not requiring a licensed skilled trades person or journeyman. Performs scheduled preventative maintenance and unscheduled or special work. Paint walls and/or equipment and make minor painting repairs. Inspect all mechanical/electrical equipment in machine rooms, penthouses, and basements for proper operation.
