Description SCRIPPS COLLEGE CLAREMONT, CALIFORNIA 91711: FLETCHER JONES FOUNDATION SCHOLAR IN COMPUTATION AND ENVIRONMENTAL ANALYSIS BEGINNING ACADEMIC YEAR 2026-27: Scripps College, a women’s liberal arts college with a strong interdisciplinary tradition, invites applications for the Fletcher Jones Foundation Scholar in Computation to begin in the 2026-27 academic year. We are looking for a scholar whose expertise in computational modeling or forecasting, GIS, and/or machine learning is combined with expertise in environmental geography, environmental policy, environmental humanities, environmental economics, or environmental arts. We value interdisciplinary approaches to teaching and research, and we are interested in candidates who can engage our students in small classroom settings and supervise undergraduate research. The teaching load is four courses annually plus senior thesis advising.
