Employment Type: Part time Shift: Rotating Shift Description: Job Title: Pharmacist, Emergency Employment Type: Per Diem: Shift: Rotating Shifts, Weekends, Holidays - As needed per department needs Location: Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital - Darby, PA Position Purpose: We are hiring Pharmacists to support operations and our expanded emergency pharmacy program! We are expanding our shift coverage to include a decentralized pharmacist. We are searching for per diem help to cover this role as well as centralized distribution. This position is for pharmacists with experience in hospital pharmacy who are able to work directly with patients for medication histories, counseling, and responding to emergencies within the hospital. As a Pharmacist, you will: Appropriately assesses patient data to identify medication-related problems through profile reviews, pharmacy consults and interdisciplinary rounding. Participates in medical emergencies and other formal alerts such as trauma, stroke, sepsis and STEMI as required. Reviews and interprets providers orders to assure that the drug, dosage form, and dose is appropriate for the patient's age, weight, and comorbidities. Checks for drug incompatibilit...
