Pay Grade: 28E Context of Job: The Health Professions Academic Advisor I provides comprehensive premedical/pre-health profession advising to alumni and undergraduate students from across all colleges and schools in one-on-one and group settings and prepares and delivers workshops and programs across campus. This position works as part of the Center for Health Profession Studies (CHPS) whose mission is to assist students in developing a path forward in their pursuit of advanced training and a career in the health professions including, but not limited to medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, physician assistant training, and physical & occupational therapy. Students are also supported in a premedical post baccalaureate program of study. Qualifications: - Advise students interested in healthcare careers on the appropriate preparation for those paths including postgraduate program admission requirements (pre-requisite courses, standardized admissions tests preparation (MCAT, DAT, OAT, GRE, etc.), co-curricular recommendations, development of admissions materials, and reviewing and selecting programs. - Advising may be in one-on-one, small group, or by leading workshops about relat...
