Deputy Director of Event Security Operations

Job Summary/Basic Function: To provide strategic and administrative leadership for Boise State University’s event security program across all major venues and campus events. This position oversees Associate Directors, ensures consistent planning standards, sustainable staffing models, and sound fiscal management, and maintains operational readiness for a growing and increasingly complex event portfolio. This position recommends event security policy, approves procedures, and provides executive oversight for high-risk and large-scale events, including direct leadership of the university’s largest stadium events. In coordination with campus partners, Athletics stakeholders, and local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies, this role ensures integrated planning, regulatory compliance, and effective incident management practices that protect the safety, reputation, and mission of the university. Campus Security Authority: This position is identified as a “Campus Security Authority (CSA)” per the federal law known as the Clery Act.
