Packaging Technician - Level III

Job description

We are looking for a talented Packaging Technician - Level III to join our team specializing in Logistics for our Cummins Inc. facility in Fridley, MN . In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways: - Drive efficiency, cost savings, and sustainability improvements by supporting daily packaging operations and implementing site‑level packaging changes under minimal supervision. - Lead supplier packaging activities at the site to ensure compliance with global standards, including managing Packaging Data Sheets within the Packaging Data Management System. - Strengthen material flow and cost control by managing the site’s returnable packaging program, maintaining accurate inventories, and performing fleet size and demand analyses. - Collaborate with Material Planning and cross‑functional teams to adjust forecasts, container flows, and packaging processes such as PFEP data, repack instructions, and maintenance cycles. - Partner directly with packaging suppliers to design, qualify, and implement new packaging solutions that improve safety, quality, and production performance. - Respond quickly and effectively to urgent packaging issues that impact safety, quality, environme...
