Hospital-Central Monitor Technician (Part-Time; Day Shift)

Job description

Under limited supervision, the Central Monitor Technician (CMT) is responsible for performing accurate EKG rhythm interpretation, documentation and support of the interdisciplinary health care team in delivering high quality, cost-effective care. This position maintains competency in electrocardiography (EKG), monitoring/computer skills, and pulse oximetry (SpO2) as appropriate. The CMT documents timely and accurately, and employs effective, prompt, direct communication when escalating concerns. EDUCATION: HS Graduate or Equivalent LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS: BLS NTA Certified National Telemetry within 1 year EMT Certified Emergency Medical Technology is preferred - Collaborates with all members of the patient care team by actively communicating and reporting pertinent patient care information and data in a comprehensive manner. - CMT will accurately identify changes or abnormalities in EKG morphology and arrythmia identification and will take corrective action and/or escalate/communicate immediately to proper personnel. - Utilizes chain of command to escalate issues and advocates for patients and staff to provide for safe delivery of care and a safe environment of care. - Monitor tec...
