PRN - ( 26000371 ) Description PRN (as needed): A Brief Overview: A Mammography Technologist performs specialized X-ray examinations of the breast to assist in the diagnosis and monitoring of breast cancer, ensuring patient comfort and safety while accurately positioning the breast for optimal image quality, all under the direction of a radiologist; requiring a high level of technical expertise and patient care skills to produce high-quality diagnostic images. What You Will Do: ◦ Accurately records all requested database / log records ◦ Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality in accordance with privacy laws (HIPPA) and facility policies ◦ Adheres to ALARA, Image Gently and Image Wisely standards ◦ Adheres to hospital mammography safety standards ◦ Effectively follows directions to maintain department readiness based on DNV standards ◦ Must demonstrate the ability to work independently. ◦ Proficient at instructing students and new staff members after 1 year experience. - Performs mammography testing and procedures on patients. - Performs quality mammograms following prescribed techniques, with minimal radiation exposure to patient and self. - Knowledge of MQSA, r...
