Classification Title: OPS Hourly Non-Secretary/Clerical Classification Minimum Requirements: High school diploma, or its equivalent, and one year of relevant experience. Job Description: - Greet and welcome guests to the museum. - Interact with all visitors and staff of the museum in a professional and positive manner. - Provide excellent customer service and provide general and directional information to guests. - Perform routine patrol of galleries and public spaces. - Monitor guest compliance with museum policies and report non-compliance through verbal and written communication. - Provide front desk coverage on an as-needed basis. - Provide escorts as needed to secure areas within the museum. - Assist with setup and breakdown of equipment, chairs, and tables for museum activities. - Practice de-escalation techniques when dealing with aggressive or disruptive behavior. - Professionalism, reliability, dependability and adherence to schedules are required. - Other duties as assigned.
