Job description

Samsonite is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced accountant to oversee the end-to-end accounting process for one or more of our group entities. This role involves ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data while meeting reporting deadlines. Key Responsibilities: - Process supplier invoices efficiently and accurately. - Manage the monthly closing process, including account reconciliations. - Prepare and process the payroll. - Calculate agent commissions and customer year-end discounts. - Review and control the general ledger, analysing cost center variances. - Prepare and submit VAT and Intrastat reports, as well as other statutory reporting requirements. - Compile statutory annual accounts in compliance with applicable regulations. Profile: - Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, familiarity with SAP FI/CO is a plus. - Fluency in Dutch and English: additional languages are an advantage. - A high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and analytical capabilities. - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to convey information tactfully and diplomatically. - A proactive mindset with strong problem-solving abilities. - A coll...
